WONDRWALL LAUNCH INTELLIGENT EV CHARGERS

New for 2022, the Wondrwall Group has introduced two Intelligent EV Chargers. Wondrwall Intelligent EV Chargers deliver the perfect solution for housebuilders and housing providers looking to include EV provisions as part of their decarbonisation and sustainability programmes.

Daniel Burton, Wondrwall Group CEO, said: “With 16% of UK emissions coming from cars and taxis, we need to do more to promote the use of EVs in order to achieve net-zero targets. The Government has responded stating that new homes and buildings in England will soon be required by law to install EV charging points and consumers are responding with nearly a quarter of all new car registrations in the last quarter being Electric or Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles.”

Daniel added: “Wondrwall is rising to the challenge with the launch of two intelligent EV Chargers. Just as we did when we scaled up our Home Automation platform to provide a complete net-zero energy solution, the seamless integration of tariff aware EV charging with our award-winning Wondrwall Energy system will continue to help us deliver our brand vision.”

The Wondrwall Intelligent EV Charger comes in two variants:

Single-phase (7.3kW) Intelligent EV Charger – Suitable for both retrofit and new build domestic installations.

Three-Phase (22kW) Intelligent EV Charger – Ideally suited for new build domestic and commercial installations. 

Both versions are IP65 rated and come complete with an IEC 62196-2, Type 2 socket. An integrated LCD provides user feedback and is integrated into Wondrwall’s AI-powered energy management platform. Based on standard energy tariffs and an average of 10,000 miles per annum at 3kWh per mile, an EV driver charging their vehicle 50% of the time at a Wondrwall-enabled home could look to save up to £2250 each year in their EV running costs.
